Columbia and Maury County are tied together. I used the term roommates before, but it’s more like a dysfunctional family. My goal is to get everybody talking more than we are. When you peel back the veil, you’ll see we have a lot to discuss.

 

When you say growth, most people think of apartments, subdivisions, and water shortages. Here’s what else growth has brought:

 

1. More trash, where is it going?

2. A larger homeless population: how do we help our fellow man?

3. More, abandoned animals at the animal shelter. How do we educate, and assist to handle this part of our explosive growth?

 

Those are just the tip of the iceberg. Someone sent me a message that said, “No long essays,” so I’ll stop there.

 

I’m asking to be the next Mayor of Columbia so the family that is all of us can start talking again.
